We are adopting a child!
Adoption has always been on our hearts and God in the last year or so has softened our hearts to domestic infant adoption. We want to be there for a birthmother who needs support. We also rejoice in knowing that ultimately, we are all adopted. We are adopted into God’s family through Jesus Christ who died for our sins.
“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” 1 Corinthians 13.7-8
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home! As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $16, 000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. We also know that the most important thing we need from people is prayer and support and we covet that as we go through this process of waiting and preparing our home for a new little one whenever they come. One phone call could potentially change our lives forever. We are just waiting for that call.
