As many of you know…we have BIG news…we are adopting a 7 year old boy!!!
We are beyond excited and are QUICKLY doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home…in less than two weeks!!! As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign and have set a goal of $7,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. Because this process is happening so fast and we have a LOT to do in the next week and a half, our fundraisers have been temporarily put on hold, but we plan to do them once we have custody of Leo and we have taken time to adjust as a family!
God has been taking us on an incredible journey that connected us to Leo and we have seen Him move mountains to make this happen! He has worked out EVERY detail in His perfect timing and we are overwhelmed with thankfulness!
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around Leo as he grows up! He has no idea how many of you are praying for him and our whole family! We have been blessed to have the most incredible village around us! God knows we need you as we bring this sweet boy home!
Here is the (estimated) breakdown of our adoption costs:
Lawyer Fees $3,500
State Fees $500
Travel Cost $1,200
Total: $9,000 - $3,430 (donated) = $5,570 (Updated 11/15)
***Thanks to more incredibly generous families who donated right after we announced our adoption, $3,430 was paid for by cash or check! We are blown away! What an amazing blessing! THANK YOU!!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to follow our journey and Leo's journey as we welcome him into our family! Your prayers, love, encouragement and financial support is all going towards a boy who needs and deserves a second chance! We get to LOVE him and be the hands and feet of Jesus…what an honor and blessing that is! We love because He first loved us.
