We have some big and exciting news to share!
As many of you may know, We have fostered for a several years, and have been praying on adoption for a lengthy amount of time now. Through all of these prayers we feel God leading us to adopt internationally from Liberia. He has given us so much comfort and support from so many people already even in just being at the beginning stages of the adoption process.
It’s no surprise that adoption fees become very costly especially when adopting internationally, and can easily add up to 50,000 or more. We are planning to adopt one child, but have been exploring the idea of a sibling set as well. We don’t know yet what God has in store for our family, but we are going to continue to pray for guidance as we go. This is why we chose to put our goal at 70,0000.
Any donation big or small makes a difference and will be such a help and blessing. We look forward to sharing our adoption journey with all of you and appreciate any support with bringing our child/children home. 🫶🏼

Update 5
Week 6-Starting Home study!
June 1, 2026We finally are to the process where we can start all the required paperwork, training, documents, and references this week, so we are excited the progress we can make this coming week with our home study! We are still going strong with our shoe fundraiser and are at a total of 33 bags. We had a little drop off this week but are hoping to have an increase in number this week especially since my sister has started helping us collect shoes! We are also continuing the clothing/textile donations and are already at 120, 13-gallon trash bags full of donations! Our Noonday fundraiser came to an end as of last night, but we have another fun fundraiser that is starting. A friend of ours Joni is a hair stylist, and she is doing a raffle for 1 free haircut a month for a year which would be 12 total free haircuts which is a total value of $360. She is selling 1 ticket for $10 or 15 tickets for $100. After 1000 tickets sold, we will draw a raffle winner! We are grateful for everyone donating to fundraisers and donating services to help us adopt. Please share all the ways to help us fundraise with your friends and family!

Week 4/5
May 24, 2026I didn't get my weekly update done last week, so I'm going to combine an update! We officially launched our shoe fundraiser last week and had 13 bags! As of today, we are at 29 full bags! We have been reaching out to people who have garage sales and ask that if they plan to get rid of things after their sale is over, if they would donate to our fundraiser, and this has had a good outcome of participants. We hope to have continued momentum to get no less than 100 bags of shoes. We completed our orientation with Small World (Adoption Agency) and have a call scheduled with Nightlight on Tuesday, who will be doing our home study. This week we also got an agreement with a fundraiser called "The clothing Fund." All we do is collect donations of clothing, sheets, linens, fabric, luggage, textiles, etc to raise funds. We will get to do this the entire adoption process, so it's exciting to have a fundraiser that could provide continuous funds for our adoption. We are also toward the end of our Noonday fundraiser. This weekend is the time to shop. They have Memorial Day sales/discounts. Rachel is donating all of her 20% commissions toward our adoption! I will drop the shopping link below!! Also is a picture of all of our clothing donations in the background. We are already up to 85 bags of trash bags full of different donations just after a few days!

Week 3 `
May 11, 2026The updates weren't working this week on my phone, and I had to update with my laptop. This past week we got approved with our home-study application with Nightlight. Since we have an active license with the county we live in with fostering; they will need to check to make sure it is in good standing. After we will be able to make a payment and get the home-study process started. The length of the home-study can take 3 to 6 months to complete with the average being 3 to 4 months.
Our shoe fundraiser officially started today! We need to collect 25 pairs of shoes per bag, and our goal is to collect 200 bags of donations. We already have two collection bags filled an I hope to keep the momentum going! Thank you all for continuing to support us! -

This week we submitted an application with Nightlight to have our home study completed, and waiting on them to reach out.We are in the works of getting ready for our shoe fundraiser with funds2org and also have a noonday fundraiser as well. Weekly Update - Application Approved!
April 25, 2026Hey All!
Here is the weekly update! The application we submitted to Small World Adoption got accepted! We submitted the required fee and signed our agreement form. From here the next steps are having an orientation with the agency, starting the application process of our home study, and submitting payments for this. In the meantime we are also preparing for our shoe drive fundraiser that starts May 11th.
