We are so excited to yet again be in the process of adding to our family through adoption and to announce we’ve been matched with our daughter, Abigail Jade (AJ), from Taiwan! It’s been a long, twisting road to get here, but we are so thankful that we are back here!
Everyone in the house is looking forward to adding a “baby sister”, and we are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As we have learned and as you may already know from our previous adoptions, adoption is costly in many ways for many people: emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially. Therefore, we ask that you help us with the following:
PRAY: Pray for our family, as we prepare for her arrival –specifically for AJ, for her health and preparation to meet us. Also pray for our family here, for Derek and I to get our paperwork completed on time, for the boys to adjust well to these changes, and for a smooth process.
SUPPORT: To help prepare us for this next adoption, we have started this tax deductible donation site with a fundraising goal of $10,000. We know we have asked a lot of you in the past, and we are once again asking for you to prayerfully consider supporting us financially as we pursue to build our family through adoption, just as the Lord has called us. The money we raise here will be used to cover travel expenses as we will have not one, but TWO trips to Taiwan to complete the adoption.
SHARE: Share our story. Share our blog. Share our Facebook group and page. We love to hear other people's journeys and hope that they will also be inspired by ours. Share with a friend who might be willing to do a small fundraiser (Noonday party, cooking demonstration, ice cream social…you name it!) Unlike our our past adoptions, we need to have all funds in place when we are ready to begin receiving situations in case we are chosen as potential adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child (and her siblings) as she grows up. Most importantly, we again ask that you specifically pray that God will bring comfort where comfort is needed, that He will provide patience where patience is needed, and provide support where support is needed.
