We are adopting!
We believe that every child should have a family. Adoption is an earthly reflection of a spiritual truth - we were adopted into the kingdom of God through Christ's life, death, and resurrection. We now have a new identity in Him, and the benefit of sonship. We know that there are many ways to care for the fatherless aside from adopting, but have felt a particular burden on our hearts to do so, and feel drawn specifically to Latin America. Our home won't be perfect, but we hope to help provide a loving home and family for whatever kids God blesses us with, where they feel a reflection of God's love through us.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome additional children into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $37,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our children as they grow up.
