We&'ll be honest, it is not easy being on the receiving end of financial support. But, international adoption is expensive with total costs of more than $35,000. We are absolutely capable of supporting her once she is home, but because each step of this journey comes with a cost and it comes quickly, it is a stretch for us. Here is the break down of adoption fees for South Korea: * $3,000 for Home Study Service Fee * $4,650 for Program Fee 1 * $2,000 for Post-Placement Report Fee * $18,565 for foreign country fees * $8,000-$10,000 in estimated travel costs (We will make two trips of approximately 4-7 days each. Our first trip will be to visit our child and then our second trip will be about a month later to bring her home.). * and more than $2,000 in third party fees (process and immigration) Whew!
