We have some pretty big news!

We are adopting a child! Margie doesn’t seem too keen on the idea yet but we have no doubt she’ll provide all kinds of furry snuggles to our new love.

On our second date, Stephen and I went on a walk on a chilly fall day in Hadley, MA and talked about our perfect Sunday. The perfect Sunday would be snuggles and breakfast in bed with giant comforters and two little munchkins between us. When I proposed, I asked Stephen to be my perfect Sunday and he said yes…after ugly crying for a few minutes! We have spent the last year and a half getting married, buying our first home together and adopting our goldendoodle, Margie. Affectionately known as the Marge. Our Sundays right now are pretty incredible but the time has come for us to keep building on that perfect Sunday. We have so much love to give a child and have been dreaming of this day since we met.

The costs associated with adoption are significant. Many people do not realize (I know it was a huge shock to us) to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more. We are doing everything we can to provide a child with love and support. We have applied for several loans and grants to help finalize the adoption process.

Asking for financial help from friends, family members and complete strangers is a truly humbling experience however we have started a crowdfunding campaign and have set a goal of $40,000 to help offset some of the financial burden. We invite you to go on this journey with us and hope that even if you cannot donate - you say a prayer or send us some positive thoughts.
