Adoption was a topic that came up early in our marriage, and has been on our hearts for many years, long before we knew we would struggle with infertility. After years of trying, we received the incredible blessing of our son, Lincoln, in 2018. After his birth we felt God directing us towards continuing to grow our family through adoption. We received a second blessing in the addition of our son Grayson, whom we adopted from Bulgaria in 2022. We have a continued desire to grow our family, as well as a heart towards adoption - and after much prayer and consideration, we are excited to announce that we are stepping out in faith and starting the process for a second adoption! We are pursuing an adoption within the United States, and are currently working on completing our home study. While we were able to fund Grayson’s adoption with our own personal savings, we are not equipped to fund a second adoption. We are trusting that God will provide - and are humbled by your consideration to partner with us in this journey.
Hello friends and family,
We wanted to share an update we received yesterday from our social worker - the birth mother we were matched with has decided to parent her daughter. This means that we’re no longer matched, and are starting to show our profile to other families. We’re saddened and discouraged by this turn of events, but are trusting that this baby girl is not the child God has for our family. We are happy for this mother, and that this baby girl will get to stay with her biological family. We are so thankful for your continued support, and ask for your prayers as we move forward with the matching process again. We will continue to keep you updated!
Dear friends and family,
We are thrilled to share with you all that we are officially matched! We have been chosen by an expectant mom to be the adoptive parents of her baby girl, due the end of February. We had the opportunity to meet her via zoom earlier this week, and are looking forward to getting to know her better. Our primary goal at this time is to love and support this mom and her baby. We are excited and hopeful, while continuing to hold everything loosely while we wait for this precious baby’s arrival. Thank you again for your continued prayers and support, we are so grateful for you!
We want to extend our deepest thanks to all of you for your support, both in monetary donations, and in prayer and encouragement. Thank you for blessing us in this way! We finished our home study process last week, and are now able to be considered a waiting family. We are working with an adoption consultant, which means we have the opportunity to apply to several different agencies at once, with the hope that we may be matched more quickly. After spending the past week working through what felt like mountains of paperwork, we're now officially waiting for a match! This could happen very quickly, or we could wait for quite some time. We are trusting in God's perfect timing, and excitedly anticipating the opportunity to grow our family. Thank you for walking alongside us in this journey!
