We are currently in the process of embryo adoption through Nightlight Christian Adoptions. After years of infertility and discussions and research surrounding fertility treatments and adoption, we felt the Lord calling us to adopt embryos. We were moved by the statistics regarding the number of unwanted embryos in frozen storage in the U.S. and stories from families who wanted to give their remaining embryos a chance at life but were unable to do so themselves. We began this process in December of 2021 and now have been matched with a family who will be giving us 7 embryos. Once we complete the final phase of the adoption, we will obtain the sibling set and over the next several years, give birth to as many of these embryos as possible. We are so excited to be able to care for these little ones and bless the family who created them!
Since our successful transfer in December I just wanted to update everyone that the embryo has now moved to the status of "fetus" and we can confidently expect to have a perfectly normal and healthy pregnancy! We are over 10 weeks into the pregnancy and so far have only seen good growth and healthy milestones being met. We are so excited to see what the Lord does with this little one as they continue to grow!
We are so blessed to be able to announce that we have had a successful first embryo transfer! Our doctors were able to thaw and transfer just one embryo (which was one answered prayer) and that little embryo is growing well! We have had two appointments confirming the pregnancy and growth of the embryo. While it is still very early, we are hopeful and so thankful for God's gift!
