We have BIG news!

WE ARE ADOPTING!!!!

We’ve long desired to build a family, and we couldn’t be more excited to start this adventure of adoption, a dream in both of our hearts for decades. The Lord has stirred in our hearts to adopt a little girl from INDIA! Many of you know Kaylee moved to India in 2020 but was sent home due to Covid and the world shutdowns. God had another plan-for us to get married, and try to start our own family. We have been praying for a long time about when and where to adopt from, and at the end of March it became clear that the Lord was saying, India, and NOW!

As part of our adoption process, we have starred a crowdfunding campaign. It might surprise some of you that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. That’s why we have set a goal of $40,000 (an estimate from our agency) to help ease the financial burden. Bennie and I have seen the Lord provide in BIG ways and we would be so honored if you would partner with us and sow into what God is doing in our life, and the precious life we’ve yet to meet.

We bought a puzzle of 500 pieces and would love to send you a piece of the puzzle when you give toward our adoption, as a reminder to pray for our girl halfway across the world. We will also have our own puzzle with the names of everyone who gave on the back of the pieces.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as a part of our community and part of our story as well.

    Home Study Approved!

    September 5, 2025

    We got home study approved 8/8 and registered with CARA (Central Adoption Resource Authority) on 8/29! This feels like a big step to have behind us. Now, we are in a waiting period for them to approve us to adopt from India. This takes on average 3 months, but we also trust the Lord with the time in every step to bring us to the right one. Once approved, we will be in the matching phase!!

    We are also halfway funded, and truly amazing to see how the Lord continues to provide for our needs. We are so grateful to everyone who feels called to give toward building our family and helping to bring our girl home!

    1/4 way there!

    I wanted to put on update on here that we've organically raised $10,000 already through very generous friends and family and we are blown away and beyond grateful!! So, we are a quarter of the way funded already!

    In about a month, we will owe about $10,000 to our agency. We do plan to eventually apply for grants, but most all grants require you to be home study approved first, and we are still a few weeks to a month away from that and then we might not get approved for a grant for months after that.

    We are so grateful for everyone who feels called to give to our family.
