We are ADOPTING!!!

Since high school we have talked about pursuing adoption as a way to grow our family. After we got married we were certain that we wanted to adopt in some capacity.

From the beginning of our adoption journey we felt led to adopt from Africa. We researched all of the countries in Africa that were open to adoption and what their requirements were. We were drawn to Liberia because it was one of the few countries open to adoption, their primary language was English, and the time we were required to be in the country aligned with what we were able to do.

We believe that children are created in the image of God and are worth sacrificing for. That being said, we have been blessed to save up a significant chunk of our required adoption costs but travel expenses can add up when you are traveling with FIVE people! We appreciate all your support and can’t wait to meet our children face to face.

    So close (by documentation standards)

    June 19, 2023

    So so close! We are waiting on one final approval, the
    1600-A. We submitted an application to the US
    Department of Immigration stating we wished to adopt children from outside the US. We are just waiting on the approval letter to make its way to our mailbox. After that we can submit all the paperwork from the last 8 months to the Liberian Government.

    Prayers that last letter comes quickly!
