Randy and I have decided to start our family via adoption! We couldn't be more excited to share our love with a little one who needs it. Our decision came about because after a year of trying to conceive, I (Courtney) discovered that I have thyroid imbalances that need to be leveled out before I am likely to carry a child. Since adoption has been on my heart since I was a child and we both want to adopt either way, we agreed to not wait any longer to expand our family!
We will be adopting an infant domestically through the agency Inheritance Adoption. We have a lot to learn and a long ways to go but we are diving head first into the journey of connecting with our first born child.
We are currently in the process of completing our adoption application and home study, which is already costing money. We are expecting our grand total to be around $40,000…. crazy, right? This is where we could really use some help but are nervous to ask for it. Nobody wants to ask for money, but its come to my attention that family and friends tend to enjoy contributing to causes that are personal and call for community support, so I'm putting our story out there.
