Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We’re the Bolton family, and we are overjoyed to share that we’re in the process of adopting a child from Colombia. This journey has been full of prayer, preparation, and hope. Now, we’re taking the leap of faith to grow our family through international adoption, and we’re inviting you to walk this path with us. Adoption is beautiful, but it’s also expensive. The total cost for our adoption is $50,000, which covers:

  • Agency fees
  • Legal and government documentation
  • Home studies and background checks
  • Travel to and from Colombia & our time in country
  • Care for our child during the process

We’ve committed to this journey because we believe every child deserves the love and safety of a forever family. We know this child is already loved by God and meant to be part of our family—and we are doing everything we can to bring them home.

    DOSSIER APPROVAL!

    June 8, 2026

    BIG NEWS — Our dossier was APPROVED!! 💛

    For those unfamiliar with international adoption, a “dossier” is the giant collection of paperwork required for adoption—home study, background checks, medical forms, financial documents, references, and much more. After months of compiling everything, our agency sent our dossier to Colombia in March.

    We just received word that Colombia has officially approved us to adopt a child from their country! This is a HUGE milestone in our adoption journey and a major answer to prayer.
    Now we move to the next step: waiting to be matched with a child. ❤️
    We are SOOO excited and incredibly grateful for everyone who has prayed for and supported our family through this journey. Our hearts feel one step closer to the child God has for our family. 💛✈️

    i-800A Approval!!!!

    February 22, 2026

    Big news in our adoption journey — we received I-800A approval! 🎉
    So what does that actually mean?

    The I-800A is permission from the U.S. government (through U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) saying:
    👉 “YES!!! Our family is approved to adopt a child from another country and bring them into the United States.”

    Because we are adopting from Colombia, this approval confirms that:
    • Our background checks are complete
    • Our home study has been reviewed
    • We meet all U.S. requirements to adopt internationally
    • We are eligible to bring our child home as a U.S. resident
    In simple terms —We are now officially cleared on the United States side of the process! 🇺🇸

    What happens next?
    Now Colombia’s authorities review our paperwork and match us with our child. Once that is approved, we can move toward travel and bringing them home ❤️

    January 2026 Update

    January 25, 2026

    💛 Adoption Journey Update 💛
    We are so close to our next big milestone in our adoption journey! We are $6,545 away from reaching the amount needed to submit our family’s dossier to Colombia—a huge step toward bringing this precious child home.

    We have been incredibly blessed to be approved for several adoption grants, but those funds will not be released until after we receive our travel dates. In the meantime, we are continuing to trust God to provide in His perfect timing.

    We’re excited to have a Culver’s Night fundraiser coming soon, but if you feel led to support us now, would you consider making a donation through our AdoptTogether page???

    December 2025 Update!!

    December 6, 2025

    We are so excited to share a big milestone—we are officially home study approved!!

    We have submitted our I-800A to United States Customs and Immigration and are currently waiting on approval. In the meantime, we’re working hard to gather all the important documents needed to submit our dossier to Colombia.

    We’re also actively applying for grants and continuing to fundraise as we take each step closer to bringing our son or daughter home. One of our biggest upcoming events is our Holiday Market & Quarter Auction on December 13th! We are so excited and expectant to see how the Lord will provide through this event and through the generosity of friends, family, and our community.
