Our Story

We are Jessica and Hope, and we are so excited to begin our journey toward becoming parents through adoption. Becoming Moms has always been our dream, and after much reflection and prayer, we know adoption is the path meant for us.

Adoption is a beautiful process — one built on love, sacrifice, and hope. We are humbled to walk this journey, knowing it will connect our family’s story with a birth mother who is making the most selfless and courageous decision of her life.

Why We Chose American Adoptions

We are working with American Adoptions, a national agency with a strong reputation and a team dedicated to supporting adoptive families and birth mothers. • We will have the guidance of an Adoptive Family Coordinator, who has 18 years of experience and has helped with more than 500 adoptions. • Our Adoption Family Specialist will walk with us every step of the way. • When we are matched, our birth mother will be supported by her own Birth Parent Specialist.

American Adoptions provides lifelong therapy for all birth mothers, offers adoption insurance if a birth mother changes her mind, and specializes in out-of-state adoptions. They also cover counseling assessments, living expenses, medical needs, legal assistance, and hospital involvement to ensure birth mothers are fully supported.

Where the Funds Will Go

Adoption is a costly process in the U.S., often totaling $60,000–$80,000. While we have been saving and preparing, we cannot cover the full cost alone.

Here’s a clear look at what your generosity will support: • Home Study & Application Fees – $7,000 (home study application, home study, and going “live” with the agency) • Marketing & Media Profiles – $20,000 (video & printed profiles advertised nationally through American Adoptions) • Legal, Medical & Birth Mother Living Expenses – varies, typically $55,000–$65,000 (legal representation, medical care for both birth mother & baby, living expenses, adoption insurance) • Travel Costs – varies (depends on where the birth mother will be having the baby)
