The Burdettes are adopting!

We are so excited to officially begin this journey–we have prayed about this for many years, and we are so expectant for all the Lord is going to do in and through this story.

When we got married 5 years ago, we knew that the Lord would call us to adopt one day; we assumed we would have all of our kids first and adopt after, just like Jackson’s parents did. After our son turned 1 year old, we began trying for another child and have now gone through 3 years of infertility. We have deeply longed for another child and a sibling for our son, Henry, but that has not yet been God’s plan for our family. From infertility testing, doctor’s visits, and surgeries, we realize that we may never be able to have biological kids again unless the Lord performs a miracle.

But all this time the Lord has gently and kindly reminded us of our desire and calling to adopt when we first got married–

After years of praying and seeking God’s heart in this, we are so excited to finally begin this process through Agape of Central Alabama. We know that the Lord goes before us, and He already knows the sweet child that we will bring into our family one day.
