Hi, we are so happy you are here! Our names are Nate and Remi, and we are excited to tell you a bit about ourselves and why we have chosen to adopt.
Like your classic love story, we met in the halls of our high school in 2013 when we both volunteered to be peer counselors at a local elementary school. We started a close friendship and went on many dates, including school dances. Post high school, that friendship quickly blossomed into a beautiful relationship.
Starting in 2015, we spent two years doing a long-distance relationship full of handwritten letters and emails. Distance made our hearts grow fonder, and we connected back together in 2017 and were engaged in early 2018. In the summer of that same year, we were married.
While both nearing the end of our college education, we decided we wanted to start our family. With unexpected news, we discovered that having a biological child was not in the cards for us. After careful consideration, we both felt that adoption was the way we were meant to grow our family. We have many family members who have been added to their families through adoption, and it just felt right for us. We have a strong support system on both sides of our family. Since that decision, we have seen little miracles fall into place. This adventure just feels right. We are beyond thrilled to add to our family and hearts through adoption.
