Over the past year, we have felt God calling us into adoption. We have spent time praying, researching agencies, and exploring next steps of obedience towards what God has put on our hearts. We are so excited to grow our family through adoption in 2025! Our desire is to provide a safe and loving home for a baby, and walk alongside a birth mom who has chosen life.
We would love for you to walk with our family through this process. First and foremost, we ask for prayer for our family as we all move forward in this path! Secondly, we would love your financial support. Adoption is a very expensive journey and we would greatly appreciate your partnership as we work towards our financial goal. We are both working extra to earn more money to put directly into our adoption fund. We are also applying for every grant we can find! Our expected total for the adoption is $63,000, not including any travel or hospitalization. We are so grateful for any support that you can offer! Donations are fully tax- deductible, as AdoptTogether is a 501c3 non-profit.
As of January 16, we entered the "active for matching" phase! This means that we can now see cases and be presented as an option to birth moms who are seeking a placement for their baby! The estimated length of time from active to match is 6-9 months. We could be matched with a mom at the beginning of her 3rd trimester and have 3 months to prepare, or we could be matched in a "drop in" scenario where a mom is at the hospital in labor, has already delivered, and/or is placing an older child! Please continue praying with us over all of the details as we wait :) We are so excited to meet the sweet baby that God has planned to join our family!
As of Thursday, Jan 2, we have our home study officially approved! We are one step closer :)
