Jeremiah & Kara Carlson
are adopting a child from United States of America
Too Much Love Not to Share TWO
Hi there! We’re the Carlson crew — Kara (mom), Jeremiah (dad), Emberlin and Lovelin (our joyful sisters), and Valor and Revel (our wild-hearted brothers). We believe love multiplies — especially when it comes to family.
This is our second adoption journey, and we can’t wait to see the story God writes this time.
Our first adoption brought us our beloved son, Revel River, and unexpectedly, his incredible birth mom, Amanda. When we met Amanda (while she was incarcerated), God gave us such a deep love for her that it felt like we were adopting her, too. Since then, we’ve watched God work powerfully in her life — from joining a prison Bible program and worship team to leading many other women to Jesus. Her transformation has been nothing short of miraculous.
About six months into raising Revel, we felt the Lord whisper to our hearts again: You’re not done. And just like that, our hearts expanded — again. We believe there’s another child and another mom out there whom God is preparing for our family.
So here we are, saying YES to love, redemption, and the beautiful mess of adoption.
We know we can’t do this alone. Adoption is costly — emotionally, spiritually, and financially — and we are deeply grateful for every friend, family member, and kind stranger who steps into this story with us.
Thank you for helping us bring one more child (and possibly one more mama!) into a home built on the presence of God’s love. We truly have too much love not to share.
With all our hearts, The Carlsons

Update 6
Meeting Baby M
May 19, 2026The last few days have felt incredibly sacred and surreal.
On May 16th, a tiny baby boy entered the world seven weeks early and was admitted into the NICU. On May 18th, we flew to Florida, met him and some of the people who love him most deeply, and signed placement papers later that evening.
From the moment we sat together, we felt an immediate connection. This experience has already been filled with so much love, courage, tenderness, grief, and beauty all woven together in ways that are hard to fully put into words.
Baby M is still in the NICU and has a journey ahead of him before he is able to come home with us to Illinois. Right now he is continuing to grow stronger every day while receiving support with feeding and breathing. We are learning the rhythms of NICU life one day at a time and are so grateful to be here beside him during this part of his story.
We are deeply thankful for every prayer, message, donation, and act of support we’ve received. Your generosity is helping make it possible for us to remain in Florida during this extended NICU stay and continue walking faithfully through all the unknowns that come with adoption and medical care far from home.
More than anything, we ask for continued prayer:
* for Baby M’s strength and growth
* for wisdom and peace in the days ahead
* for everyone connected to his story
* and for love to continue leading the way through every part of this journeyHis name means “my messenger” 😉 and already this tiny boy is reminding us how powerful love, courage, and human connection truly are.
With grateful hearts,
Jeremiah & Kara -
Update 5
Adoption Update & Christmas Blessing
December 26, 2025We wanted to share a brief update on our adoption journey. The twin situation we recently presented to has moved forward with the mom choosing to parent. While that means it wasn’t our story to step into, we fully support and celebrate when a mom is able to parent and feels confident doing so. That is always something we honor.
We also had the opportunity to present to a mom expecting a baby girl this month, and she chose to move forward with another family. While we weren’t selected, we are grateful to have been considered and trust that the right family was chosen for her and her baby.
Through it all, we remain confident that the Lord has just the right baby and family in need of a forever home, and that His timing and plans are good, even when the waiting is hard.
As we celebrate Christmas, we want to thank you for your continual prayers, encouragement, and support on this journey. Your generosity and love have carried us in ways you may never fully know.
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas.

Update 3
Presenting to BM of twins!
November 14, 2025We are currently presenting to a twin boy adoption situation with a due date in December. There are still unknowns, but we have let the agency know we are open and interested if chosen. We’re trusting God with the next steps and preparing our hearts for whatever He has for us.
Thank you for praying with us and helping us be ready for this opportunity.

Update 2
✨ Update: One Step Closer to Growing Our Family
October 7, 2025We’re thrilled to share that we’re now working with three adoption agencies—Heart to Heart Adoption, Mother Goose Adoptions, and Building Arizona Families! In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be active and ready to present to birth moms for the very first time. This is such a beautiful and humbling part of the journey, as we’ll soon have the opportunity to be considered by moms courageously choosing adoption.
Because of your generosity and the Lord’s provision, we’ve been able to apply to multiple agencies, design and print our profile book, and take these exciting next steps toward welcoming another child into our family. 🙌
Our next big milestone will come at the time of match—which can happen quickly. Families often have as little as 72 hours to provide half of the adoption fees, which can be up to $23,000. We’re praying and believing that through continued fundraising and grant support, those costs will be covered so we’re ready to say yes without hesitation when that call comes.
If you feel led, would you consider helping us close this next gap? Every gift—no matter the size—moves us closer to bringing another child (and possibly another mama) into a story of hope, healing, and belonging.
Thank you for being part of our journey and for believing in love that multiplies. 💛
