We have BIG news!

We have been matched! We are making preparations so that we can go get our 9 year old boy and we need your help.

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home.

As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total $50,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $45,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up!

    WE HAVE A MATCH!!

    December 5, 2025

    After so much paperwork and some added grey hair...we now have an OFFICIAL MATCH!!

    This means that we are preparing to go get our son, who is 10 years old, from an orphanage in Colombia.

    The next step is to fly to meet him when our adoption association gives us clearance...which could be any day now.

    Thank you all so much for your prayers, love and support along the way! God does not ask all of us to adopt but He does tell us all to care for orphans and we appreciate you joining us in that for His glory! We will keep you posted!

    Hello- I hope this Monday morning finds you all doing well!

    As we continue to wait for God's timing with this adoption we find ourselves needing even more patience in these days as it seems nothing is happening. Yet, we know God is at work and we rest in knowing that his will shall be done in his perfect timing!

    Last week we renewed our background checks that expired and we were informed by A.I.B.I (our adoption agency) that they are renewing their accreditation in Colombia so all adoptions are on hold until this bureaucratic phase is complete.

    Hello-

    I would like to update you on the progress of this potential adoption!

    A few weeks ago Colombia asked us for more information as to why we want to adopt, how we will manage having a new child in our home, and practically what resources do we have at our disposal.

    This just lets us know we are one step closer to hopefully adopting! Our adoption agency in Italy claims this 'asking for more info' typically only happens once but it allows us to know Colombia is on the search for a match for our family!
