Friends…. we have BIG NEWS. We are adopting again!!! We can hardly believe it ourselves. As some of you know the Korean Adoption Program has been closed to new applications since January of 2022 (just two months after we returned home with our sweet Benjamin). The program has been closed for several reasons but the main one is the impending governmental changes for international adoptions. Because of this, agencies stopped taking applications as they weren't sure how much longer they will remain able/available to care for orphans. Unfortunately, this has caused some children to be caught in the middle. Our agency let us know that they urgently need a handful of families that have done this process before, are open to adopting a child with special needs, and can do this process QUICKLY. On August 29th we got the call, we took the night to pray and started the official process on August 30th. If you can even believe it we are almost done with our home study (which took six months last time) and it has only been a little over two weeks. It's obvious to see that God is moving and opening all the doors.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Our adoption costs will range from $50,000 to $60,000 including fees and travel. Because this process is happening so quickly we are trying to raise funds as quickly as possible. If God taught us anything during our first adoption it was that no mountain is too great for him.
