After a lot of conversations, speaking to other family members who have gone through this event, thought about this, or support this decision, Zachary and I have decided to begin the journey of adoption. We know adoption is a very hefty price so we are working with a case worker and an agency to start. Our first step is our home study which costs roughly $2,000. In total, adoption costs can cost up to $40,000. We are adopting a new born in a domestic adoption which also extenuates the cost for everything needed for a baby let alone the adoption fees. Everything that is donated will help directly with the adoption and any left over would be used for items the child will need. Each donation, we have decided that once we have a child, we will create the letter of their name with each donor(s) name on it for helping us through this process so they can see how important you were in receiving our bundle of joy.
