Ro and Eleanor have wonderful news to share! They are adopting a sweet baby from Florida! Callan arrived early on October 11th at 28 weeks gestation weighing 2.43 pounds. Callan has been in the NICU since birth and is currently still there. They have gone through so much in such a sort amount of time. Callan had a perforated intestine, collapsed lung and needed blood transfusions often.
Callan currently no longer needs blood transfusions and has healed from the perforated intestine. Their lungs get stronger day by day, but they will need to be on oxygen after being discharged. Which means they will need oxygen on the plane ride back to Oregon and is not covered by health insurance.
Eleanor has been in Florida since the birth staying in a rented home and visiting Callan daily. Ro just arrived to begin bonding and learning from the nurses in the NICU who have shared so much with them on care for Callan upon leaving.
With all that has happened Ro, Eleanor and Callan could really use the financial help towards adoption fees, their housing while in Florida, medical care and so on.
I know they would so appreciate any amount your are able to gift to help them through this transition. Thank you so much!
