Hello Family!
We have some BIG news!! The Clarks are OFFICIALLY ADOPTING A BABY!
After six long years of trying to grow our family, it’s difficult to put into words what this moment means to us. The journey has been long, filled with hope, prayers, waiting, and more emotions than we could ever fully express. Yet through it all, we now feel deeply honored and incredibly excited to share that the Lord had bigger plans for our family than we could have imagined. The gratitude, joy, and anticipation we feel could never be summed up in just a few sentences.
We have completed trainings, background checks, paperwork and are officially home study approved. We have started applying to ethical adoption agencies, and at any moment an expectant birth family could choose us. This means we could be holding our baby in a month or in a year!
It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $60-$70 thousand! This is why we have set a goal of $50,000 to help ease the financial burden as we prepare to meet our baby! It was important to us to choose an ethical agency that deeply cares for woman choosing life for their baby and would provide care and counseling to the birth mother and baby. This will help cover those expenses along with agency fees, adoption finalization fees, legal fees, and birth mother care. As part of this process, we have started this crowdfunding campaign.
While it feels humbling to ask for help, we also feel really excited to continue inviting our friends and family into this next step in our lives. We are so grateful for the love, encouragement, prayers, and support we have received throughout the years. To our family, friends, and everyone who has walked alongside us, thank you. Your support has helped carry us through this journey, and we cannot wait to share this next chapter with all of you. Every gift (no matter the size!) brings us one step closer to welcoming our child home.
