Who are we?:
We are a family of Cuban origin living in Quebec since 2010. My husband Jose and I are 48 and 50 years old. My husband and I have been together for 23 years, 18 of which we've been married. We're both elementary school teachers which are jobs that we love. The only thing missing in our family is children laughing and running around. We are hoping to adopt a little girl, or if possible, two siblings from the United States. We have tried everything. After three failed attempts of IVF and an empty bank account we realized it wasn't going to happen. Unfortunately here in Canada the public and private family services are regulated by both, the federal government and the state's and aren't very efficient. We are not even able to adopt from other provinces withing Canada, and the waiting list to adopt in the public sector in Quebec goes to 10 years. As for private agencies, appart from been extremely expensive, there are only 4 accredited for International adoptions and only from 3 countries which prioritize families of the same origin. So we decided to try our luck adopting from United States. But for that we need money, and our financial situation now isn't the best. So I am asking for any help I can get for the first time in my life, because we aren't getting any younger and I feel our dream is getting away from us. God Bless you for contributing to our dream and that we can give a child a loving caring family!
