Steven & Jazmin Crosby

are adopting a child from Philippines

Hello! We are the Crosbys, and we're thrilled to share our story with you.

We're embarking on a new chapter in our family's journey. We're excited to announce that we're beginning our adoption journey with Holt International. The decision to adopt is a significant step for our family, and we're overflowing with gratitude for the unwavering support we've received from our family and friends.

Agency and Program Fees at Holt International are estimated to be $33.835 - $47,555 when adopting from the Philippines. If it's in your capacity to donate, 100% of funds will go towards these fees so we can proceed with our adoption journey.

This journey is a testament to our belief in love's boundless capacity and our commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and loving home to children in need. We invite you to join us on this adventure, as together we write the next chapter in the Crosby family story. Thank you for being a part of our lives and for your love and support.

    MATCHED!!

    May 17, 2024

After 8 months the NACC approved our family to be a match! The NACC physically mails the acceptance paperwork which can take a couple of weeks to receive, until then we are now starting to work on our Welcome Album, which we would fill and write letters to be mailed for her go through. We also got confirmation that video calls would start a couple weeks after the acceptance paperwork is sent to the Philippines! We are most excited about this, it is such a great tool to help everyone get to know each other while we wait for our travel approval.

Funding update: We are SO close to our goal!! As of now we are only 5k short on agency and program fees and 5k away from funding our airfare and accommodations in the Philippines. Help us reach our goal during this last stretch!! We are so grateful for our friends and family during our adoption journey, we quite literally would not be able to do this without you all.

    WC Committee Matched!

    January 10, 2024

    One step closer!!

We received exciting news that the WC Committee selected our family as a match. Next, it goes to the NACC's matching committee where they also must match us.

During this time we have also sent over Agency Fee 2, Program Fee 1 and Foreign Country Fee 1. This means that we are reaching the end of our available adoption loan funds and need an additional $14,000 to cover the remaining fees.

    Adoption Loan Approved!

    September 13, 2023

    🌟 Exciting Adoption Update! 🌟

We're thrilled to share some news with all of you. We have been approved for a $20,000 adoption loan, which marks a significant step forward in our journey to adopt an 11-year-old girl.

This approval means we can begin the homestudy process and move closer to determining if we are a perfect match for her needs. Today, we had the privilege of meeting with two experienced social workers who had the chance to meet her earlier this year. They were not only insightful but incredibly helpful in providing guidance for the next steps.

We are filled with hope and anticipation for what lies ahead on this journey. Your support and encouragement mean the world to us, and we will continue to keep you updated as we progress further. Thank you for being a part of our adoption adventure! 🖤

  • Update 1

    First Fundraising Goal is $8,000

    September 9, 2023

After inquiring about moving forward with the adoption process for an 11 year old girl, we were told that after paying the application fee (PAID), we would need to pay the Agency Fee 1 (see photo for details). After paying the agency fee of $5,065.00 will we then be in contact with the California Holt Branch and the country program staff for the Philippines. This fee covers the work the Philippines program staff will do with us during the homestudy process (communication with the branch about our homestudy, review and edit, working with us on government paperwork for the program side, access to the Philippines handbook for training etc.). We were told from there they would start the process of the Homestudy which is a separate estimated fee of $2,500 - $2,900. Once the homestudy has been paid and the paperwork has begun then our family can be presented to see if we are a good match for the 11 year old girl. During this time Holt also provides a financial advisor where we will ask about grants we can apply for, loans and how to navigate this process while making financially sound decisions. Our first fundraising goal amount is $8,000 to cover the Agency Fee 1 and Homestudy Fee. Thank you all again for the love and support! If you are able to donate or share our adoption fundraiser, we are so grateful for each of you!
