I am adopting a child!

Adoption has always been a part of my family plan. Little did I know that this would be my only option for building a family. After a surprising infertility diagnosis, I pursued public adoption from the foster care system but after many months, the child was reunited with their biological family. After grieving that loss, I decided to pursue private domestic adoption. I’ve identified a reputable agency to help navigate this multifaceted journey. But without a super high paying job or generational wealth, the cost of private adoption–including, home studies, attorney fees, agency fees, and birth mother expenses has made this dream nearly impossible. However I am not easily dissuaded. While I’ve tapped into my savings and applied for grants, I’ve still come up short.

I’ve set a fundraising goal of $25,000 to help cover half of the cost, and I would appreciate your generosity in helping me achieve this goal.

All tax-deductible funds will be used for adoption related expenses. In fact, AdoptTogether.org requires adoptive families to send in receipts in order to release donated funds.
