  Baby Cunningham is here!

  Hi Friends and Family!

  We've been waiting to update you until things were a little more settled with the logistics of the adoption, but we don't want to wait any longer...

  After the two adoption opportunities we had fell through, we were feeling a little down and frustrated but still hopeful. And it's a good thing because we unexpectedly got a call in early July that a baby boy had been born the day before that we had been matched with! We rushed down to meet our little guy, Forest Isaiah, that evening. After a couple days in the NICU we returned home and it has been such a beautiful whirlwind ever since!

  Forest is now 2 months old and we are all in love! He is such a squishy little guy, and his sister can't get enough of him. We are honestly still in shock, but feeling oh so grateful. As we mentioned, we are still working out some of the logistics of Forest remaining ours forever legally, but things are continuing to move forward and we feel very hopeful as we continue on this journey. For now, we are savoring every minute with this perfect little bean.

  Life is really hard and complicated and beautiful, and our family journey has only highlighted that. We continue on with hope, patience, and lots of trust. We're grateful to God for the strength that's been provided, and for all of the support our friends and family (and even strangers!) have poured into us. We're also so very grateful to the birth mom for making what she felt was the best decision for this little guy.

  We'll update when there is more to share, but we just couldn't wait any longer. Please keep us in your prayers and we continue with this process. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your support!

  Baby Girl Cunningham Due in May!

  April 21, 2025

  Hi Friends and Family! We have been matched again and this time with a Baby Girl in Philadelphia! Baby Girl is expected at the end of May so now we wait, with bags packed and hopeful hearts. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this part of our journey and hopefully finally meet our new Little One. We will never be able to thank you enough for the immense love and support you have shown our growing family. We'll keep you updated, but for now... yay!

  Thank you for your continued support

  Hi friends and family,

  We are sad to update you that we won't be coming home with baby boy. We flew to Michigan on Christmas night and met with his birth parents last night who are both amazing people. We were set to be at his birth this morning but he passed in the womb some time between last night and this morning. We are heartbroken about the situation but are also still hopeful about what is to come as we continue our journey of expanding our family. Please pray for us and the sweet birth parents as we grieve this loss and continue onward with hope and peace. Thank you all for your continued support.

  We've been matched!

  December 15, 2024

  Hi Family and Friends!

  We wanted to update you on the exciting news that we have been matched with a birth family in Michigan and are traveling to be there at the birth, leaving on Christmas night (if all goes to plan)! Baby is on the way and we feel so grateful for this unexpected Christmas gift :). Nothing is set in stone until we have Baby and the paperwork clears, but we are hopeful! We'd appreciate your thoughts and prayers for our family and the birth family and for safety for the Baby, no matter what happens. We are planning to be out there a couple weeks, until we are able to bring Baby home.

  Now off to arrange some last minute holiday travel... :)

  January 2024 Update

  Hi Friends and Family (and Anonymous Supporters)! We just wanted to post a little update to say Happy New Year and thank you again for all the support, love, and generosity you have shown our little fam. We are coming up on a year in February of waiting for a match and haven't heard anything yet. Our adoption coordinator has been checking in with us periodically and letting us know things are going well on their end and they have just had far less children up for adoption than usual. Although it is challenging us to practice patience, we also feel happy to know that the need is less currently than it has been in previous years. We're continuing life as usual and pressing on with hope that our future child is making his or her way to us. We ask for continued prayers for that child and for his or her birth parents, wherever they may be, and in whatever difficult decisions they are facing. Again, we cannot thank you enough for your impact on our family's lives. We're hoping to multiply it through the abundance of love we will pour into this little one!
