Hey everyone! We have some exciting news! We have started the adoption process!
If you don’t know us, we have 3 children. Our oldest two are 9 years apart and we suffered five miscarriages between them. Because of health issues, I chose to have a hysterectomy shortly after having our third. We thought our family was done growing. Now that our youngest is almost six, we have discovered we have a void and know our family is not done growing! We actually see multiple kids in our future!
Adoption has always been near and dear to our hearts and we are so excited to be on this journey. There are some parts that are scarier than other though and one of them is the financial aspect. The average cost of adoption is $40-60k. We are working hard to save right now. Once we are home study approved, we have a lot more options as far as fundraising and grants to apply for. That is also the time we can choose to start presenting to expectant mothers, but we can’t until we have a certain amount raised.
