Ben & Christina Davis

Hi! We are Ben & Christina Davis and we are so excited to share about what God is doing in our lives. We are high school sweethearts and this fall we will be celebrating fifteen years of marriage! Early in our relationship we realized the Lord was calling us to adopt. We had the wonderful blessing of welcoming our son into our family through adoption in the middle of 2020.

Our heart’s desire has always been to have more children, and after struggling with known infertility for the past three years; we have felt led to move forward with another adoption process.

After much prayer, we decided to forgo any extensive fertility treatments. The Lord has given us an unshakeable heart for adoption and we believe that is where we need to invest our limited resources. Through the Adoption and Foster ministry at our local church, we learned about a new/local adoption agency called The Heart Project: https://heartprojectadoptions.org

We may not understand the details or timeline of our journey, but one thing we know for certain is that our faith has grown in unbelievable ways. We are surrendering our family’s future, plans, and desires to the One who is the Creator of life. We are taking a step and asking the Lord to provide.

Right now, we are working on completing all of the education requirements and gathering the documents needed to complete our Home Study. At this point the exact total expense is unknown, but typically an adoption can range from $30K-$45K. We still have a long way to go, but we believe that God is faithful and will continue to grow our faith through this journey. We will faithfully move forward with the resources He has provided, and apply for grants once the Home Study is approved. We are creating this profile because some dear friends and family members have asked how they can come alongside us in this journey. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We are so thankful for each prayer and gift that the Lord has blessed us with.

How can you be praying?

First and foremost, we are praying for the future birth mother and father. We are praying that they will choose life. We are praying that whatever their situation, God would provide hope in their circumstance and that they would come to know Jesus as their personal Savior. Lastly, we are praying that God would provide financially. We believe that God is calling us to step out in faith as we lay down our worries, insecurities, and anxieties. We are praying that He would provide in a way that will ultimately bring glory to His name.
