“It takes a village to raise a child”
Our village has supported us through it all. You have been there with much needed kind words and long hugs. After our first loss and 5 years of unexplained infertility we were surprised and elated to welcome Roman. After another painful loss we realized our dream of adoption was meant to happen sooner rather than later.
We are adopting a child! We both come from large families and want to continue to grow our family through adoption. We are thrilled and are doing everything we can to prepare to welcome a beautiful new life into our family.
As part of our adoption process we have begun a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you as it surprised us that adoption costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of our village and will continue to love our children as they grow.

Good afternoon everyone,
October 5, 2024 we met our daughter Eva Mercedes De Leon. We named her after our grandmothers. Eva was born October 1, 2024 at 3:31 AM. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 inches long. She is our fourth and final musketeer. We spent 10 days in Nevada with her before we were cleared to return to Atlanta. Eva loves hugs, and cuddles, and eating (she fits right in). We are so overjoyed to finally have her as a part of our family. We cannot wait for you all to meet her. We are geared up and ready for all of her firsts. Thank you all for thinking of us and generously donating to our page. She's home, and we couldn't be more excited.
We are elated to announce that we have been matched and are now with our daughter!! We cannot wait for you all to meet her.
We have completed our home study and we are now approved for adoption!
What is a home study? This is the first step in moving forward with domestic private adoption. We obtained a social worker who provided us with a long checklist of documentation and tasks to complete. This includes but is not limited to; fingerprinting, medical testing, and local, State and Federal background checks. You name the test or screen and we've done it, knowing each completed task brought us closer to our dream. We underwent adoption training and interviews, and the home study culminated with a home visit.
Once we completed our home study, we then had to create a profile book with photos about us, our lives, and our family and friends. Some of you may even be in the profile book.
