Baby girl is home and doing well! Thriving after 55 day in the NICU and growing. We are loving life together!!
I have known from a very young age that my ultimate dream is to be a mother. I assumed, like most young girls, that I would meet my prince charming and we would have a beautiful brood of children together, both biological and adopted. However, God had other plans for me. Due to medical complications, my doctors have made it clear that I will never be able to have a biological child. While this was heartbreaking to accept, it did not deter me from what I have always known, I am meant to mother and I am meant to adopt. When my father passed away in 2019, I realized life is short and I did not have to wait for prince charming to pursue my dreams. Together, the medical complications & the loss of my father have served to deepen my inner calling to motherhood and have further opened my mind and heart to adoption. I began my road to adoption 3 years ago and in that time the cost of adoption has sky rocketed by a staggering 45% of the original cost. A month ago my prayers were answered and I was matched with an expectant mother and her baby girl due in October.
I am very excited to welcome Baby Girl Dickerson into our family! She is so loved by family and friends near and far!
