We have BIG news!

We are adopting a child!

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $65,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $55,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

You might be wondering….why adoption?

I have always had a desire to adopt and when Garrick and I started talking about children, adoption was always in our plans. James 1:27 helps explain the calling Christ has placed on our hearts.

“Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” (CSB)

Secondly, we love children and believe EVERY human life is valuable. There are children in need of families to love and care for them and, by God’s grace, we want to provide a safe and loving home to one of them. We look forward to the joy and love this child will uniquely bring to us and their siblings.

We hope by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.

Upcoming Fundraisers

We are so thankful for all the generous donations thus far. In conjunction with monetary donations, we are hosting an online auction in March (think silent auction style through a Facebook event). We already have some great donations coming in like Kendra Scott items and Scavenger Hunts by Let’s Roam (https://www.letsroam.com/) as well as hand crafted items.

Home Study Approved
November 13, 2024

We are Home Study APPROVED!! We are working on applications to multiple agencies to be placed on their wait lists of adoptive parents.

Home Study
September 16, 2024

We have completed the home study application and are awaiting assignment of a Case Study Worker. When assigned, we will be able to schedule our home study interview.

Background Checks
August 3, 2024

We are currently working on our home study. We have submitted all the documents and applications. Fingerprints are scheduled for background checks. Now we are waiting patiently for fingerprint results and a date for the home visit and interviews.
