Zach and Hope Dykehouse

are adopting 3 children from Haiti

update: We have our match of three siblings! We are so very thrilled. One boy and two girls. <3 We need to get busy though as our agency and country fees go up to 73,000 with THREE. This sadly doesn't include things like travel, certain documents, homestudy renewal, ect. We have saved and/or fundraised all but about 40,000 and we are so grateful for everyone's help along the way. Please know anything given through this link in tax deductible! We understand if you can't give, but can you please share our story? Thanks to everyone who has been encouraging so far. It's meant so much to our family.

If you'd have told me when I was 21 I'd be here now I wouldn't have believed you. BUT here we are; taking the steps to adopt THREE siblings from the beautiful island of Haiti! God blessed us with 5 wonderful kids and then said, "but I want you to have more." But honestly, in so many ways, we can't walk this out without help from family, friends, community, and the church. Please join us in what will be a probably long but hopefully beautiful journey to bring THREE beautiful children of God who need a family into our home, arms, and hearts. <3 -Hope

Adoption is something I have always found compelling, but is something that did not seem possible with our life. As our kids have gotten older and we enjoy the freedom from diapers and car-seats, we both started to feel led to adoption. My own spiritual life has become more real as I have become involved in a men’s ministry and the youth ministry at our church. I can see the fruit from this in our family. Hope has also become more involved in our local homeschool community and in an online annual devotional that has built her up. The work of God in our lives can be seen in our marriage and relationships with our kids. My priorities have begun to shift away from the life I thought I wanted to live to the life God has called us to. I am ever more aware of the incredible gift our children are. We love raising our family and feel that we have even more space in our hearts for children. -Zach

What you might not know is Haiti is not only the poorest country in the western hemisphere. It's also the most expensive to adopt from, at least that I know of. So why would we choose Haiti?!? Ah, good question, my friend. The fact is it's probably my fault that God led us to Haiti. I was so reluctant to adopt. "They systems broken." "It shouldn't cost so much to adopt!" Those are my words. So naturally I was looking for the cheapest when we finally did start the process. But alas, the beautiful island of Haiti kept calling my name. God sure has a hilarious way of making us eat our words sometimes. But seriously. there's much uncertainty with adoption, but maybe more so with Haiti right now. But I am certain of God. He has brought us here and he will bring our babies home. Pray for Haiti, pray for the people living there. Pray for the orphans. And help us bring a these beautiful children out of an orphanage and into a home. Love to everyone who read this far. :-D

    UPDATE!

    September 14, 2023

We were so blessed with the huge garage sale fundraiser we did along with all the other money we've been putting aside from mowing lawns, selling crochet items the girls made, selling farm products and just straight generosity from family and community to get to our next goal, which is having all the fees to submit the dossier. We're super excited to say we've worked hard, yes, BUT ultimately God has been faithful to us as we've stepped out in faith. To Him be all the glory. I'm happy to rest and breathe in His Glory and Blessings knowing we've reached this goal. It could be awhile b4 we need the next amount (about $30,000), but I'm confident He'll be with us through it all.

Thanks to those who didn't hesitate to just throw some money down. Your faith in us and support of adoption in general means so much. We are waiting for some paperwork on our end to get here and hoping to get the money soon to get our homestudy done and approved! <3
