UPDATE Baby Boy was born 11/30/22. We were notified on 12/1 that Mama C was having a difficult time with her adoption decision and wanted to try to parent. While we are hurt and can't see exactly what God is doing right now, we are thankful that we were able make sure that she and the baby had everything they needed during a vulnerable time in her life, and are hopeful that the 4 months of prayers focused on them will have some impact.
We know in our hearts that God brought us here and we are one step closer to bringing home the baby He has for us.
We have decided to move forward with Mama C's adoption agency, and would appreciate your continued prayers as we try to lay down our anxieties, keep trusting and follow where He is leading us.
"Consider it pure joy, brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish it's work, so you may be mature and complete, not lacking in anything." James 1:2-4
We have HUGE news!
We are adopting a BABY BOY and we could not be any more excited!
As part of this process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign, as adoption costs can easily total $55,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $30,000 to hopefully help ease some of the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We know many of you have been with us on this 8 year rollercoaster ride of trying to start our family, and we are so thankful for all the family and friends who have been there to support us through infertility, every miscarriage, and our adoption wait. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our son as he grows up.
While we still have a nervous few months before Baby Boy's birth and there is still a process to go through, we believe that God is perfectly writing our story and not a minute of waiting has been in vain. He is so faithful!
