We have big news: we are adopting a child!!!

We are so excited for this next stage of life. We have both known since before we were married–before we met even–that we would be adopting. Now, after six months of paperwork, interviews, home inspections, training, and lots of waiting, we have been approved to adopt! We are creating a profile that will be shared with birth mothers to potentially match with. Once we are matched, a child could be placed with us in as little as a week!

Adoptions are expensive. Altogether, it will cost $35,000, which is actually on the less expensive end. This number includes legal fees, medical care and counseling for the birth family, background checks, among many other expenses. We have already paid $10,000 and the remaining $25,000 will be due when the child becomes placed with us. We are inviting you to partner with us to help ease some of the financial burdens that often overwhelm adopting families.

It takes a village to raise a child, and we are surrounded by an amazing one. We ask for you prayers about being prepared and all the nerves and anticipation as we continue on this amazing journey.
