We have BIG news—we’re adopting a baby!

This has been a dream in our hearts for a long time. After facing medical roadblocks and disappointments, we feel called and excited to move forward with adoption.

Adoption has always been deeply meaningful to us. Both of Lisa’s parents grew up in foster care, and their stories shaped how we see the importance of a safe, loving home for every child. Becoming parents would be the greatest honor of our lives, and we’re stepping into this season with open hearts full of hope!

​We are currently in the thick of the state home study process—a season of paperwork, education, preparation, and evaluations. If all goes as planned, we will begin presenting to expectant mothers in mid-March, with the hope of welcoming a little one into our arms before the year ends. We know God is in control, and we trust His timing. Throughout this process, we hold a deep respect for the birth parent(s); we honor their courage and the profound love involved in choosing an adoption plan for their child.

​Many of you have asked how you can support us. Your prayers and encouragement mean so much!

Adoption is a beautiful path, but it also comes with significant financial hurdles.

So far, we’ve spent nearly $10,000 on our home study, documentation fees, consultant costs, etc. Remaining adoption expenses can reach $60,000+ which covers mama/baby medical, agency and application fees, legal fees, social worker visits, finalization costs, and more—all safeguards to ensure every child is placed safely and ethically.

For those who feel led, we’ve created this page so you can partner with us financially. We chose this platform because it is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This ensures that your donations are tax-deductible and that every dollar is carefully overseen and used strictly for adoption-related expenses.

Waiting To Be Matched

  • Update 4

    We are officially a waiting family!

    April 18, 2026

    As of yesterday, we are officially a waiting family with agencies in Utah and Texas. This means we are now able to be matched with an expectant mother based on her preferences. Ultimately, she will choose the family she feels is right for her baby.

    This morning, we received our very first case and have chosen to present to the birth mother. There are so many wonderful families hoping to adopt, so we know the chances can be slim. However, we trust that if this is meant to be, it will happen in God’s perfect timing. And if not, we will be so happy for the family chosen, while continuing to trust that our own little wildflower is somewhere out there.

    We are praying for the sweet baby girl who was born last night, for her birth mother, and that the Lord would guide her to the family meant for her daughter. We also pray over this precious child’s life and future.

    One Foot in Front of the Other

    Hi everyone! We wanted to share a quick update on where we are on this road to parenthood.

    Our profile is officially finished! We are now in the middle of applying to agencies, and while each one has its own unique process, paperwork, and application fees, our hope is to be an official “waiting family” by the end of April so we can begin presenting to expectant mothers.

    It’s so special to think that these pages are how the birth mother will first meet us and our family.

    We appreciate all of your support so far more than words can say, and we would be so grateful for your continued prayers. To be honest, some parts of this journey can feel heavy and discouraging at times. All of this is such a huge leap of faith, but we are leaning into the truth that God has a perfect story already written out.

    As we navigate these next steps and the upcoming agency fees, thank you for standing with us.. whether through a donation, a share, or your prayers. We’re taking it one foot in front of the other, knowing the end goal will be so worth it when we finally have a baby in our arms.

    Home Study Approved!

    February 28, 2026

    It’s official.. our home study has been approved by the state, and we’re cleared to move forward in the adoption process! This is such an exciting and meaningful milestone for us. We’re now working on our profile book, which will share our life, home, and hearts with expectant mothers during the matching process. We hope to have it finished in the next few weeks so we move forward with the next steps. Thank you for your continued prayers, love, and support — we love you all so much!

    Our 2nd Home Study Visit

    February 12, 2026

    Tomorrow is a major milestone for us—it’s Part 2 of our Home Study!

    Our social worker will be coming by for her second visit to perform the official home inspection and sit down with us for a more in-depth, personal interview.

    For those who might not know, the Home Study is the "heart" of the pre-adoption process. It’s a deep dive into our lives—everything from background checks and financial reviews to making sure our home is a safe, ready environment for a child. Passing this stage is essentially our "green light"; it’s the legal approval we need to officially move forward and be matched with a child.

    After tomorrow, our social worker will spend a few weeks crafting the story of our lives into a formal report.

    We are excited, a little nervous, and so ready to check this box :)
