Hey Friends & Family!
Our family is on the grow, and we are growing it through adoption!
If you know our story already (thanks for being here as well ;)) you probably already know that adoption is something that we have talked about and dreamed about since before we even got married. Adoption was something the Lord placed on my (Katelyn's) heart back in high school. When Ben entered the picture I remember being a little apprehensive to share that I wasn’t sure I wanted to my have biological children, but that I wanted to grow a family through adoption. I can remember being super nervous about what his response would be and how it would affect our relationship (after all, that's not the way most people plan to start a family), but as you can see he stuck around! And sure enough, this dream of mine quickly became this dream of ours! We are so excited to love the child (and bonus family) the Lord brings our way - to be a safe landing spot in the midst of the unknown.
God has continued to lead and grow our hearts to adopt, and we are excited to start our family through adoption. We have had a few pivots along the way, especially about the direction God would have us go, but we are walking through the doors He has been opening and are excited to see what He is going to continue to do. We are adopting domestically through a wonderful agency, and we hope to pursue international adoption in the future as our resources allow!
