Chris Ewing

is adopting a child from United States of America

Kristen and I have known each other since kindergarten, and we have been happily married for almost 10 years. When we found out that we were unable to have biological children, it didn't take long for our focus to turn to adoption. We have five close family members who are adopted, so the concept of adoption is one that's very familiar to us, and we just knew that this was how God intended for us to grow our family. It has been very encouraging to experience God's direction as we traveled this road, and we have no doubt that, not only has He called us to adopt, but He will continue to provide the guidance we need as we go through this process. We are pursuing a domestic, cross culture, infant adoption program with our agency. Our profile is officially "live" and we are waiting for a sweet mama to choose us to raise her baby. We can't begin to imagine what an incredibly heartbreaking decision that must be, and we pray every day for the woman who will someday ask us to adopt her baby. For us, adoption is a chance to practice our faith in a practical way, but not only are we thrilled to provide a home for a child, we are also eagerly anticipating the blessing of having a child to love, encourage, and support throughout their life! It is our intention to fund a portion of this adoption via fundraisers, grants, and side projects that we can both take on, but the sad truth is that adoption is expensive. Asking for funding is incredibly hard for us, but we've learned that often following the Lord leads us out of our comfort zone, and nothing will get you out of your comfort zone quicker than adoption! We humbly ask you to consider donating to our adoption process, and we want you to know that we appreciate all the love, support, and prayers of everyone who has stood with us!
