We are Derek and Ashley Fanning, currently adoptive/foster parents of four beautiful children! God has lead us on this incredible journey of growing our family through adoption, and we want to invite you to join us on this newest, exciting part of our journey!

We just found out that we have been the chosen adoptive family of our 5th child, a three year old little girl! This adoption will be new territory for us, as this is an out of state/special needs adoption. We are incredibly honored that God has chosen us to walk this unique journey of bringing our 5th child home!

She is a little fighter, with the brightest spirit, and we foresee a very positive future for her! This little one has been in foster care her entire life. She has been waiting for her forever family for awhile now, and through God’s miraculous leading and divine plan we are now on the journey to become her adoptive family.

Because of this being an out of state/special needs adoption there are many costs that this journey will entail! Along with crowdfunding, we will be raising money through bake sales, garage sales, along with brainstorming other fundraising ideas!

Here are some specific financial needs that we will have in this particular adoption journey:

• travel costs - flying to and from Nevada possibly multiple times to bring our daughter home (some costs may be covered but not all).
• costs of hotel stays and rental cars during our travels to visit and bring our little one home (some costs may be covered but not all).
• childcare and pet care costs for our other four children and pets as we make the trips to visit/bring our little one home, and in the transition process.
• costs of buying or adapting our current vehicles to be handicapped accessible as our little one grows (we have chosen a zero debt policy for buying our vehicles and are trusting God to provide the funding for us!).
• costs to help in the remodel of our home for future handicapped accessibility as our little one grows - specifically our bathrooms.
• costs of special equipment for both indoor/outdoor use to help with her quality of life.

100 percent of donated funds will be used for the adoption process and the specific needs our little one will have. Donating through AdoptTogether is also tax deductible and we will not be granted donated funds without providing documentation and receipts proving that the funds are being used towards our daughter’s adoption.

Please pray for us as we take these next steps to bring our sweet little one home to Kansas and work towards completing her adoption process!
