Jason and Adrienne Fenner
are adopting a child from United States of America
Dear Friends and Family,
We’re excited to share that we are expanding our family through adoption! As we walk this journey, we humbly ask for your prayers and support.
Adoption has been on our hearts since before we were married. As we’ve stepped into this process, we’ve learned just how impactful our journey could be—especially within our own community. Statistically, 80% of children placed for adoption are African American, but only 20% of hopeful adoptive parents are African American. As an African American couple, Jason and I feel even more called to adoption. These disparities are not about willingness, but often about the financial burden of private adoption.
We were incredibly blessed to be matched with a hopeful birth mother very quickly. Like most birth mothers, she deeply loves her child—a beautiful baby boy—and desires a better life for him. She specifically wants him to be raised in a two-parent African American home, and we are honored that she chose us.
This journey is filled with hope, but also comes with significant financial costs. The total for our private adoption, including travel, is $65,500. So far, we’ve paid $25,500 by closing a savings account and using a credit card. We are trusting God for the rest. We’re doing all we can—including applying for grants—but we know we can’t do this alone. We need our community.
Would you consider giving to help bring our son home?
Every gift, no matter the amount, brings us closer to our goal. Your support means the world to us. It will impact not only our family but also a courageous teen mother and the baby boy we are praying to raise with love.
With love and gratitude, Adrienne, Jason & Amara
