are adopting a child from Colombia
Hello friends!! We have HUGE news concerning our family!! We are internationally adopting our first child from Colombia, South America!!! We could not be more excited. God has been so clear and close to us as He has guided our hearts and minds towards the direction of adoption. We can even see where He has been writing this story all along, preparing our hearts and minds for this. For those of you know that know us, you know we have always had a heart for the orphan, a heart to invite people in, a passion for Spanish, and Latin American culture. We always knew God would use these passions for something in our life, but weren’t sure how until adoption (and especially from Colombia) was pressed on our hearts. We are so unbelievably humbled and honored to say “yes” to His specific calling on our life, and start pursuing adoption. We believe wholeheartedly that adoption is a tangible way of seeing the Gospel, and we hope that others, and especially our child, will see the love of Jesus through this experience. As you know, adoption is a huge cost emotionally, physically, and especially financially. We fully trust God to prepare us and provide as we embark on this adoption journey and then onto parenting, but we do feel overwhelmed at the amount of money needed to bring our child home. The full cost from start to finish totals just over $42,000. This amount includes everything from paperwork & documentation all the way to visas, our child’s passports and medical exams, and travel to & from the country. Like I said earlier, this and the timeline of how long this could take (up to 2+ years) seems overwhelming, but we rest in the fact that God goes before and behind us, and He already has our child handpicked for our family. We have started this platform in hopes that you all would partner with us and help us get to this goal. Platforms like this allow donations to be 100% tax deductible, with all the money going directly to our adoption costs. We have seen the body of Christ be the hands and feet of Jesus already, and we cannot wait to see how He uses our community to bring home our baby (no matter how long it may take). We appreciate you so much - you have no idea. Giving towards our adoption has lasting impacts on us and our child, and I truly don’t even have the words to express our gratitude. Thank you for playing a part in our story♥️

HOME STUDY
July 13, 2022Friends!! We are officially in the Home Study phase of our adoption process. This means we have been approved and accepted into the Colombia program, to our agency, been interviewed and had initial clearances, and we are starting the mounds of paperwork!
There is a lot of money coming out at the front end of this phase due to all the documentation, appointments, fingerprinting, checks, etc. It is all a bunch of work for legal and logistical purposes, so it can be expensive! But we are so thankful there is such an intense process to make sure our child is placed with a safe family. That being said, we would be honored if you would consider partnering with us to help pay for some of these heavy costs as we move forward in the process. Some of these include roughly $4,000 in agency fees, $1300 for psych evaluations, $200 for education, $60 for some documents, and so on.
We have already been so incredibly blessed and humbled by how the Lord is providing in so many ways, and at the generosity of you guys. It truly brings us to our knees and makes us so thankful that our family and future child is already covered in prayer.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
