HUGE NEWS!!! After more than eight years together, we are excited to share that we are officially on the path to becoming parents through adoption!!

We live in a small town in Wisconsin with our beloved dog, surrounded by family, friends, and a community that has shaped who we are. For a long time, we have dreamed about growing our family, and adoption has always held a special place in our hearts. To us, adoption is about so much more than adding a child to our family, it is about providing a loving, stable, and supportive home for a child while also supporting a birth mother through one of the most important journeys of her life.

We recently completed our home study, which is one of the biggest milestones in the adoption process. This means we are preparing to become a “family in waiting,” ready for the day we receive the call that changes our lives forever. While there are still many unknowns ahead, we are filled with hope, excitement, and gratitude as we move toward meeting the child God has planned for us.

One of the things we’ve learned throughout this journey is that adoption is both a beautiful and expensive process. The reality is that while there are countless children in the United States and around the world who need loving homes, the adoption process itself comes with significant costs. The average domestic adoption costs around $65,000, covering legal fees, agency fees, birth parent support, travel expenses, and home study requirements.

Like many young couples, we are fully prepared and committed to providing for a child throughout their life. However, the upfront costs of adoption are substantial, and we cannot meet them alone. That is why we are reaching out to our family, friends, and community for support. We have already payed for our home study and Agency fees. Our fundraising goal is $40,000, which reflects the estimated costs we would use to pay for the child placement and legal fees.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring us one step closer to becoming parents.
