We are excited to announce we are adopting!

The journey to grow our family has been one filled with many bumps, detours and dead ends. While the door to biological children has not been closed indefinitely, it has been closed for now. With a strong desire to have children, these past two years have been extremely difficult.

Our plan was to start a family right away. God’s plan has been different. The desire to have a family and be parents has not wavered.

Adoption is both exciting and scary for us. This avenue will take time as most infant adoptions take 18 months to two years for placement. It has also been a decision filled with encouragement and peace. Currently we are working with Lifetime Christian Adoption.

Adoption is very expensive with many different fees required to insure a safe and successful process. On average adoptions range between $35,000 - $50,000. If you would like to assist financially to help offset the cost we would be forever grateful. We believe that raising a child in the Christian faith requires the love and guidance of the entire family and church.

We ask that you keep us in your prayers as we embark on the next road to grow our little family. Please pray we will continue to lean on God for wisdom and strength throughout this journey.

    Bumpy Road

    August 5, 2025

    Where to begin!
    As of March we were on track to have our homestudy completed mid April. We went ahead and began working on our online profile with our matching agency to become fully active prospective parents. We also went ahead and signed our contract that is for 2 years.
    And than April came and went. Not a word. After playing email and phone tag with different team members I was finally given some answers. Long story short there were personnel changes that put all domestic homestudies on hold within their local office. We were left waiting for more imformation untill the end of June when we were finally assigned a new case worker.
    Happily on Jully 21st our homestudy was completed and delivered to our matching agency!! Hallelujah

    It has been a trying time. Patience is not my strong point. I am one that likes schedules and moderate predictability.
    On top of that three of our siblings are expecting babies at the end of the year. (This will make five new neices and nephews since our TTC journey began).

    Our family hascbeen ever so encouraging.
    We are continuing to lean on God and each other. We pray for a quick match and placement.

    Milestones

    April 18, 2025

    Have you ever wondered how intense the process to become eligible adoptive parents is?
    Imagine being a full-time college student AND working full time. That is what it reminds me of. We began our home study the beginning of November 2024. It seriously was like being in school again majoring in parenthood. After mountains of paperwork, classes, training and interviews we completed that first milestone in March.
    Just this week our profile has been approved. This is what Lifetime will show Mothers who are considering adoption.
    We still need a few more approvals before our profile will be active. Yet is has been amazing to see how God continues to open doors. Please continue to pray for us as we prepare to move into the next phase of our journey. Yes, this is still a waiting phase but it another step closer to welcoming a baby into our family.
