I exciting news! I'm Adopting!!! My journey to motherhood began last year when I made the decision to adopt. Sure there were a number of options available , however after much prayer and counsel from family and friends, I decided that adoption was the best option for for me. While I have not met my little one yet, I am elated to be given the opportunity to love and provide a safe and stable family for a little one in need. There are truly no words to describe my excitement about being a mother and most importantly having my village to support my on my journey.
As you can imagine, adoption can be both a tedious and expensive labor of love that requires a great deal of support, and as a member of my village i'm hoping that I can rely on you to support me through this journey. The current cost of domestic adoption ranges from $30,000 to $45,000, adoption fees include a number of services such as the required homestudy ($2,000) attorney fees ( $8,000) placement fees ( $6,000-$8,000) , agency fees ( $3,000-$4,000) travel and expectant mother expenses ($0-$20,000). While I have utilized personal funds to cover cost and applied for a number of grants, with your support I will be able to cover additional cost so that I can bring my little one home soon.
