God Willing, Our Family is Growing - Through Adoption!!
From as early as we can remember, we have always desired for the day we would become parents. Throughout our journey, we have lost a baby via miscarriage, and realized soon after that God was calling us to adoption. We even had this sweet image in our minds of our first baby sitting on God’s lap, “helping” Him pick out their sibling for us.
Adoption is a beautiful image of God’s love, but it is also very expensive with most adoptions averaging $45,000 or more. While we are saving, having garage sales, and applying for grants, we can’t do this alone. We would be so grateful if you would consider walking with us through this journey whether it’s through prayer or financial support.
We feel so blessed to have a community like you that is helping us say YES to the calling that God has placed on our hearts, and we hope and pray in His perfect timing we can introduce you to the little bundle of joy that we’ve been eagerly waiting for.
Blessings, Josh and Lacy

Update 6
March 2026 - A Dream Come True
May 25, 2026As we shared in our previous updates, we had planned to revisit the idea of pursuing a multi-agency approach at the beginning of March. It felt like a natural next step in the waiting season we were in, and something we had been prayerfully considering for quite some time.
But as March approached, something shifted in our hearts. A dream Lacy had back in November kept coming back to us—quietly, consistently, and with a sense of peace we couldn’t shake. In that dream, we felt strongly that our current agency was the one God was using to bring our baby to us. Because of that, we didn’t feel led to move forward with adding additional agencies. Instead, we chose to remain steady where we were, trusting that if God had spoken through that dream, He would be faithful to bring it to pass in His timing.
Fast forward to the end of March. We got THE call!! A sweet birth mom had chosen us for her baby girl, due in July. And in a way that left us completely in awe, so many details of that moment mirrored the dream Lacy had months earlier—right down to the smallest detail, including our adoption coordinator calling Josh instead of Lacy, something that had never happened before.
We truly can’t describe it any other way than this: God was in every detail. This is our 27th case, and we are holding tightly to the promise of 1 Samuel 1:27: “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.”
Our hearts are full, overwhelmed, and deeply grateful. We can’t wait to share more of this journey with you soon, but for now we are choosing to rest in His goodness and faithfulness. Please continue to pray for baby girl, her birth mom, and our family as we step into this beautiful next chapter.
Blessings,
Lacy and Josh -
Update 5
January 2026 - A New Year of Hope
May 25, 2026We hope you all had a very blessed Christmas season. As we stepped into this time of year, our hearts were filled with anticipation and hope that we might already be holding our baby by now.
Since our last update, we have been presented with four additional adoption cases. Each one brought a wave of emotion—hope, prayer, reflection—and each time, we ultimately received another “no” or closed door. While those moments are never easy, they continue to remind us that this journey is not unfolding according to our timeline, but according to God’s.
We won’t pretend it has been simple. We really did hope Christmas would look different for our family this year. But more and more, we are learning to rest in the truth that God’s plans are not only different from ours, they are better than ours—even when we don’t yet understand them. We are trusting that the baby He has planned for us will be worth every single no that led us there.
At the end of last year, we shared that if we hadn’t matched by the new year, we would begin considering a multi-agency approach. For those unfamiliar, this means working with more than one adoption agency in order to increase the number of opportunities to be chosen. After more prayer and discussion, we’ve decided to revisit that decision at the beginning of March rather than moving forward immediately.
For now, we are staying where we are—waiting, praying, and trusting that God’s timing is still unfolding exactly as it should.
Blessings,
Lacy and Josh -
Update 4
November 2025 - A Sweet Reminder
May 25, 2026We’ve officially been a waiting family for about a month now, and in that short time we’ve already seen 11 cases. Each one brings a wave of hope… and then a quiet pause when we hear the words, “She has chosen another family.” It never gets easier to receive that update, but somehow it hasn’t shaken our faith either.
Even in the waiting, we keep reminding ourselves: our baby is already written into our story—just not in our timing yet.
In our adoption journey, the matching process works in a very simple (but emotional) way: after presenting our profile to the birth mom, we either receive an email if it’s a “no.” or a phone call if it’s a “yes.” So every time the phone rings, there’s a moment where everything stops and hope rises all over again.
We would like to share a glimmer of hope received though. Earlier this month, Lacy had a dream that can only be described as from God. In it, we had just presented to a birth mom and were waiting to hear whether she had chosen us. The tension felt so real.
Then came the moment in the dream: our adoption coordinator called Josh. She shared that the birth mom had seen our profile and immediately knew—without hesitation—that we were the family for her baby. We didn’t receive all the details. Like how many cases we would have to receive before the “yes” or if the baby was a boy or a girl. But, the dream gave us a peace that we can’t quite explain. It felt like reassurance, not prediction. A reminder that we are seen, that our story is unfolding, and that God is already in the details we don’t yet have.
So for now, we continue to wait and trust. We’re choosing to hold onto that dream as a quiet promise in the middle of uncertainty, and we’re also beginning to prepare our hearts and home for the Christmas season with open hands and expectant faith. We’re still praying for our Christmas miracle, and hope to have another update to share soon.
Blessings,

Update 3
October 2025 - Officially a Waiting Family
May 25, 2026After we received approval for our home study, one of the very first things we did was begin researching adoption agencies. We spent a lot of time reading, asking questions, and learning from families who had already walked this road before us. We have been incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such a supportive community of adoptive families, and their wisdom and encouragement helped guide us through those early steps.
As we continued praying about where God was leading us, one agency continued to stand out. It came highly recommended by so many people we trusted, and from the very beginning, we felt drawn to it. We hoped and prayed that somehow we would be accepted into their program and begin this journey with them.
Then, at the end of October 2025, after what felt like endless paperwork and preparation, we officially became a waiting family with the agency we had prayed so hard for. Reaching that moment felt both exciting and emotional - like a huge milestone after months of anticipation.
For those who may not be familiar with the adoption process, being a "waiting family" means that we have completed all the necessary approvals and are now waiting to be matched with a baby or expectant/birth family. From here, the timeline is unknown. It could be days, weeks, months, or even years before we bring our baby home. While the waiting can feel heavy at times, we are choosing to trust God's timing and hold onto hope as we continue praying for the child and family that may one day become part of our story.
Blessings,
Lacy and Josh -
Update 2
August 2025 - Home Study Approved!
May 23, 2026After months of education classes, tons of paperwork, and preparing our home, we finally received the news we had been praying for - we were officially approved to move forward with adoption. What made the moment even more special was the timing. We received the approval exactly one year to the day after finding out we were pregnant with the baby we later lost. In a season that once held so much heartbreak, God gently reminded us that He was still writing our story.
With this approval came the opportunity to begin working with an agency, officially become a waiting family, and take one more step closer to bringing our baby home. The journey has already stretched us in so many ways, but it has also strengthened our faith and deepened our hope for what is ahead.
We are so incredibly thankful for every prayer, encouraging message, and person who has walked alongside us through this process. Your support means more than we could ever express. We can't wait to continue sharing this journey with you all.
Blessings,
Lacy and Josh
