After a long journey through infertility and a diagnosis of primary ovarian insufficiency (POI), our hearts have been led to a new and beautiful step in our story. For over 2 ½ years, we have walked through seasons of hope, waiting, grief, and prayer. Through it all, God has been faithful to carry us, even in the hardest moments. Adoption has always been in my heart, especially considering that both of my parents and my brother were adopted. It has always been a part of my story in a deeply personal way, long before it became our family’s path forward. After much prayer and seeking the Lord’s direction, we feel a deep peace that He is leading our family down this road of adoption. We are reminded that He chose and loved us first, and it is from that place of being fully known and fully loved that we now step forward in faith. We trust that this is not a detour, but the next step He has lovingly placed before us. We believe the child meant for our family is already known and loved by Him, and we are simply walking in obedience toward what He is writing for our story. Our prayer is to move forward with open hands and surrendered hearts, trusting His timing, His plan, and His provision every step of the way.
