We have BIG news!
As a decent amount of our friends and families knows we have been trying to adopt for a while now. We are excited and doing everything we can in the last couple years to prepare to welcome a beautiful new family member into our life.
As part of our adoption process, we have worked on saving money to off set the expenses associated with adopting. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have start a crowdfunding campaign. Our family has set a goal of $5,000 to help ease the financial burden associated with travel expenses for us. It will help ease the financial burden that often times can be overwhelming to many adoptive parents.
We have been paired with a birth mother in a different state than Kansas. We have travel cost to get to our birth mother but then we will not be able to leave her state till we have been through the local court system. This means that we could be staying at airbnbs for a couple of weeks till we can be released to come back home to Kansas with our newest family member.
