Abraham & Sara Gomez
are adopting a child from United States of America
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our story. We’ve been married for 7 years and have been blessed and privileged with two biological daughters. We always knew we wanted to have three children and were always open to the idea of adoption since before we were married but this idea became more of a calling after our miscarriage.
As we were mourning the loss of our baby the quiet whisper of adoption was haunting the both of us but we kept it to ourselves. It was not until several weeks later that we finally shared with each other what we were thinking and feeling and this quiet whisper became a clear voice. After months of prayer, research and conversations we feel called to grow our family through adoption.
The process itself is not easy, there are a lot of ups and downs, a lot of learning to be done, paperwork to fill out and funds to be raised. But none of this comes even close to the pain, sacrifice, emotions and thoughts a birth mother has to endure. We are hoping and praying for an infant open adoption, where we can honor the birth mom, stay connected and have her be part in the life of our child.
We are hoping to raise $30,000 which is about half of the adoption fees. Fees include: home study, applications, agency fees, legal fees, state adoption fees, birth mom care and support can include (medical fees, rent, utilities, transportation, counseling services) travel, finalization of adoption.
This does not come naturally to us but we know we cannot do it on our own. We appreciate all your prayers and thank you for any and every contribution that is in your heart.
