We are adopting!
We both have a deep desire to be parents and have been longing for the day that dream comes true. Our journey has certainly not been easy as the past 4 years have been the hardest times of our lives physically, emotionally, and financially. Two miscarriages, two failed IVF rounds, and many tears including draining our savings at a chance to become parents.
We have always talked about adoption as being a potential part of our story but we didn't know how that would unfold. We know that the adoption process is not an easy one but we are dedicated to doing the work on how to best support our future birth mom and our future adopted child.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000-$65,000. This is why we have set a goal of $5,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We know the quote "it takes a village to raise a child" and believe wholeheartedly in this. We hope that by sharing our story you will join in that village in some way. We have faith that God is in this with us every step of the way.

We are so happy that we are officially home study approved and are in the process of completing our profile book that prospective birth moms will review. Things are moving along and we are very thankful. Hopefully soon we will be able to go active for matching :)
Hi, we officially have our paperwork all done! Our first in-home visit went great! We have one more coming up until we wait for the official report. In the meantime, we have been planning monthly fundraisers to help us achieve our goal. We also are completing trainings to help educate us on the layers of adoption. We are so thankful for all the support , words can't express what it means to us!
