I have some big news! I am adopting a child! I am beyond excited to be starting this journey and start preparing for this gift from God. I am a single 37 year old female who has always wanted to be a mom. I have 13 nieces and nephews and love being a part of their lives.
As part of my adoption process, I am starting a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total over $40,000 or more. This is why I have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. I hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as a part of my community that I hope to build as my child grows up.
I encourage friends and family (and strangers, too) to stay updated on this next chapter of my journey to motherhood. Get vocal! Share my story! Let the world know how incredibly loved any child would be in my home and in my heart.
It has been a while since I have done an update on my adoption. I have been in the waiting to match phase for about a year and recently went through the process to update and renew my home study. I have received my updated home study and have sent it out to the 7 entities that I am using for adoption. The adoption process is a lot of waiting and a journey of a lot of ups and downs and continue to pray that the right expectant mother will see my profile and choose me to raise her baby. If you could continue to pray with me over this journey I would greatly appreciate it.
I am live with my first agency and am waiting to go live with my other agencies as well.
I have turned in all of the paperwork associated with my home study and have my interviews this week and my home inspection next week. The process has been moving along pretty quickly which has been great and I pray it continues to move along. I start school August 15th and will also be coaching volleyball after school so hoping the process is mostly one by the start of school. I appreciate your prayers and thoughts through this process.
I have started the paperwork and am in the beginning stages of the process and am excited about the next steps. I am excited about what the future will hold for me and so happy that I have you all here to go through this with me and support my every step of the way.
